Troeg’s Mad Elf is AMAZING. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Here’s a little video I recently did for Bustin. We spent a freezing cold morning in New York yesterday with riders Mike Dallas, King Solomon and Theseus Williams putting together a quick little promo vid of the new Strike board. Check it out:

The flurries are falling here in Hoboken…just a little reminder that season is right around the corner. I just picked up my Midweek pass to Mountain Creek…hoping to pick up my Okemo/Stratto pass soon as well. All I have left is a quick tune up on the sticks and I’m ready to go.
An awesome car film:
Matt and I went into the city today to check out some galleries. Then it started to rain. We were having a good time sliding and falling all over the place (Matt even hit an exposed pipe buried under 6 inches of water - that was fun) but, needless to say, we were pretty soaked. Matt had told me about Phở (pronounced “fuh”) before, so I suggested we try to find some. We came across Pho 32 and stopped in.

One word: awesome. I highly recommend it. I got a small for around $7 and it was more then enough (the large bowls, for an extra $1, were collosal). I’d really like to find a recipe to try cooking the stuff at home some time. Seems like it’d be great for a slow cooker.
No updates lately. I know. Sorry.
Anyway, I just build this DIY 35mm Adapter. Here’s some of the test footage.

So it’s been quite some time since my last post and for that, I apologize. What can I say, I’ve been busy. Here’s a brief recap of my life in the past three weeks:
First up, we had our Open House. Approximately 300 people came out for an awesome party to support a great cause. Daniel Gale, co-founder of AAS, was in attendance to show a quick video clip and educate everyone on what the charity was about. Thanks to everyone who came out - we had attendees from as far away as Texas fly in for the event! Next year’s event is sure to be bigger and better.
The Limited Edition prints were launched on the site about a week ago. Our boards were also added to the Eastern site, marking our official launch into the wholesale world. Look for Bustin at your local skate shop over the coming weeks.
This past Thursday the Bustin crew attended Zimzala, a Surfaid benefit hosted by our friends at Okoto Apparel, Sundreams Productions and Jay Alders. You can read Matt’s complete recap of the event here. I must say though, with around 700 people, tons of auction items and some really great bands, this event lived up to the hype. On Friday, we took the day off and chilled on the beach, catching some much needed R&R.
Yesterday was the annual Central Park race. I’d say there was a solid 150 riders in attendance, battling the 100-degree heat wave the NYC area is currently being hit with. Kaspar lost his crown this year (by a mere 10 feet), with Dabonka coming in third. Bustin had a few of its riders in the top 15 (Harlem’s Host - 5th, Solomon - 9th?, Mike D - 13th?; unofficial results). I didn’t race, but captured some great footage using our new camera. Look for some new vids from us in the coming months.
That’s pretty much it from me. I’ll try to get some photos/footage up over the next few days.
